We recently completed a project on the farm in Scotland where the Tiny House Cabin is located. This system which is supplying 3 properties & the cabin, was supplied & fitted by ourselves, to help the farm diversify their business towards tourism. The system was sized by our specialist suppliers to cover the demand from the 3 houses & cabin. The process involves taking a sample of the supply water, usually this can be provided by your local environmental health dept, who are required to test the water quality of off grid properties each year. The results of this test are then analysed by our suppliers to decide which filtration system is best suited to your individual requirements. The system will usually consist of a series of filters, which gradually get finer, to remove impurities in the water. These impurities are what usually cause the discolouration seen in these water supplies. The process is then finished off with a UV filter to kill any bacterial contamination which may still be present in the filtered water supply.
